Explore More is a Chrome extension that hides selected AI features that are inserted into websites you already use. The aim is not to replace those sites or block the useful parts of them. It removes the AI layer you didn’t ask for, while leaving the normal page and its results available.

The extension is being built around specific unwanted AI experiences rather than trying to detect every mention of AI on the web. Current work includes features such as Google AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot surfaces, Amazon Rufus and AI features on YouTube. Support can be updated as sites change and new intrusive features appear.

No. Explore More isn’t anti-AI and it isn’t a blanket AI blocker. If you deliberately visit an AI tool because you want to use it, that’s your choice. The problem Explore More is trying to solve is AI appearing inside other experiences when you didn’t ask for it.

Search and browsing used to involve choosing which result to open, comparing sources and occasionally finding something you weren’t looking for. When an AI-generated answer is placed before that process, it can change how we discover information. Explore More exists to preserve the option to browse first and ask AI when you actually want AI.

That’s the intention. The extension targets the unwanted AI module rather than hiding the whole page. A big part of the technical work is making sure normal search results, videos, shopping results and other site content remain untouched.

Sites such as Google, Amazon, Microsoft and YouTube regularly change their page structure. Explore More therefore has to recognise the current version of an AI feature and remove the right container without interfering with surrounding content. When a site changes its implementation, the extension may need its rule updated too.

Where possible, yes. The extension is designed to hide supported AI surfaces as early as possible so you aren’t shown the answer first and then left watching it disappear. This is particularly important for search, where the point is to get you to the actual results cleanly.

The Human Score is a playful way of showing the effect Explore More is having while you browse. It grows as supported AI experiences step aside. It isn’t judging how you use the internet, and it isn’t meant to tell you that using AI is bad. It’s a reminder that you chose to experience a little more of that browsing session yourself.

It records interventions by Explore More when a supported AI feature is encountered and removed. The counter is there to make something normally invisible visible: how often AI was inserted into your browsing in the first place.

That’s part of the product philosophy. Explore More is about choice, not deciding for you that every AI feature is unwanted. Controls can be used to shape which supported experiences step aside, so the extension can fit the way you want to browse.

The extension is being designed around local browser behaviour rather than building a profile of what you browse. Before release, the published privacy wording will match the final production architecture and permissions exactly, so you can see clearly what the extension can access and why.

Explore More is intended to stay lightweight. It watches for the specific page elements it supports and acts on those rather than trying to rewrite everything you browse. Performance will remain something to test as support for more sites is added.
